We strive, always, to be transparent in how we do business.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place in the Hanging With Hounds client roster. Fees are non-refundable after the training program has commenced. If training is cancelled prior to starting a program and more than seven days in advance of the start date, a full refund, less a 10% administration fee, will be made. If training is cancelled prior to starting a program and within seven days of the start date, a full refund, less a 40% administration fee, will be made. Note: If payment was made by credit card and the training program is cancelled, an additional administration fee of 10% will be levied to compensate for out-of-the-pocket credit card fees.
The preferred payment method is e-transfer. This is the preferred method, as no bank fees are charged for the buyer or seller by Canadian banks. If a credit card payment is required, a credit card processing fee of 5% will be levied to cover credit card processing fees.
Taxes applicable vary by Canadian province. GST is applicable in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. HST is applicable in all other provinces and territories.
Cancellation Notice
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel a training session. If notice of fewer than 24 hours notice is provided, the session is forfeited. The session will not be rescheduled or refunded. As much notice as possible will be provided if a session needs to be rescheduled.
All separation anxiety programs must be completed within the period defined in the training agreement. A program can be paused for 1 week during the training period. Any sessions not completed within that time frame will be forfeited. This is to ensure that your training goals can be attained through timely and consistent training.
Training Risks
The training terms and conditions and training risks are defined in the Training Agreement. The Consultant will work directly with my dog(s) and myself to impart animal behaviour knowledge utilizing positive reinforcement training methodology that best fits our needs. Successful companion pet programs depend on a combination of learned skills on the part of the dog(s) and owner. Behaviour is not static; an animal will not continue to perform even trained behaviours without ongoing practice.
The consultant will make every reasonable effort to help us attain goals but makes no guarantees of performance on the part of the Client or pet as a result of providing professional animal behaviour consultation.
Training Approach
Hanging With Hounds is a positive reinforcement trainer. Aversive equipment such as choke, prong and shock or e-collars including bark collars will not be used or recommended.
